Professor Despang globally peer review selected for World Atlas: “Destination Architecture” by renown PHAIDON

Professor Despang has been globally peer review selected for the published in November 2017 World Atlas: “Destination Architecture” by renown PHAIDON Publishers / London featuring “70 countries, 135 cities, 650 architects, 1000 buildings”.

Despang’s featured “ Urban Waterfall Subway Canopies” project in the German city of Bochum is a won competition from 2001 which after an adventurous odyssey of more than a decade:  http://despangarchitekten.com/images/pdfs/traveling_bochum_theory.pdf  got finally built in 2014 with Despang in collaboration with the onsite client of the city of Bochum remotely construction documenting and supervising it from Hawaii.

With that given his Professor position at the University of Hawaii and the project’s execution informed by Hawaii: http://archetcetera.blogspot.com/2014/07/bright-spots-for-bochum.html?m=1 is the architect representing Hawaii  (and one from the selected 65 in his native Germany):
